Are you a Leader ???
Do you lead a group of people ???
Or Do you lead a Team ???
What’s your Strategy then ???

See, all these questions we all should ask ourselves everyday. Mainly we are leading a team or a group of people. The basic reason behind it is to do self assessment for finding the level of capability and ability that we are having to lead people.

Leading a people concept has been changed dramatically since last decades.

If you will ask me how ?? I will say , previously people were being led the way a leader wanted to do but in the current era it has been changed like people want to be led by the way they want.

And yes Its a tough challenge for leaders from various corporate entities who are not able to map themselves with this principles. Because your appraisees want you to deal with them the way they want genuinely.

Here comes the title “SHODDY”. If you are not a effective leader then you will be given this title.

We will find many leaders in different platforms who do not know how to give feedback , how to give appreciations and how to run a meetings.

let me give you few niche points where a leader fails to have the good complements and feedbacks from the appraisees.

1) No proper agendas for the meetings
2) Conducting meetings more than the allotted time limits
3) Having a attitude to listen to each and every team members.
4) Avoiding to give good complements / appreciation for good and pro active actions by any member.
5) Getting influenced by particular member of the team in having same view n remark about other members of the team.
6) Not having a good command on the team.
7) Not able to take up initiatives to represent the team in higher level.
8) Need the team members help to reply the mail.
9) A very bad planner.

After doing my research across 3 industries around 10- 15 companies I found most of the associates have given me the above common statement that they do not like about their leaders.

So My thought says “Lead a Team The Way You want But be a Leader the Way They Want”
